High school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade 1 (Hourly)

Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Receptionist to work at the UofL Dental Kosair for Kids practice located at 982 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works with faculty, peers, and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care.

As the first point of contact with the patient, checks patients in daily, confirming their contact information, current insurance, and consent forms, and registering new patients when needed.

Verifies insurance and details benefit coverage for patients when appropriate.

Conducts financial transactions, accepts and posts payments, issues receipts, and balances cash drawer at end of day.

Creates, reviews, and manages payment plans with patients.

Answers the phone in a timely and professional manner, managing a multi-line system.

Schedules patient appointments as necessary.

Maintains HIPAA, OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times.

Other duties as assigned.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
