Role Overview

The Machine Operator & Assembler plays a key role in building and inspecting medical components, operating laser machines, and ensuring every product meets strict quality standards. You’ll follow established manufacturing processes, maintain accurate production records, keep a clean and organized workstation, and collaborate across multiple production areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, precision tasks, and a positive, team‑driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble medical components following detailed work instructions and established processes.
• Operate laser machines and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform visual and microscope inspections to verify quality of small, detailed components.
• Use hand tools and assembly tools to complete precise production tasks.
• Record production data including quantities, inspection results, and issues.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment , including packaging and documentation checks.
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures for medical product handling.
• Support continuous improvement , offering ideas and collaborating on process updates.
• Work across production areas , providing flexibility and teamwork to meet daily goals.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
• Follow SOPs for laser operation, assembly, and machine setup.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• Experience in assembly or machine operation in a production environment.
• 2+ years in a medical manufacturing setting (preferred).
• Comfort operating laser equipment , including basic setup.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Microscope inspection experience for small components.
• Reliable, organized, and safety‑focused in daily work.
• Ability to work confidently from day one , with training on specific processes.
• Comfort with packaging and preparing goods for shipment.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with laser marking, welding, or ablation .
• Advanced laser operation skills that support progression to higher operator levels.
• Ability to adapt to different production areas.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
