We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Superior Balance Physical Health Therapy in Port Orange, Florida. This full-time position is critical in helping our patients regain their strength and mobility through personalized therapy programs. Work Environment

The work setting is an onsite outpatient office located in the vibrant community of Port Orange, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through various techniques including manual muscle tests and movement analysis.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on restoring mobility, strength, and independence, ensuring adherence to best practices and evidence-based approaches.
• Manage a steady caseload of patients, typically treating one patient per hour, allowing for optimal hands-on care and interaction.
• Utilize effective communication and motivational techniques to encourage patient compliance and engagement during therapy sessions.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain detailed documentation through EMR systems, specifically WebPT.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and specialists to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive patient management.
• Prepare patients for discharge by educating them about home exercises, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with patients of various ages, including active adults and seniors, who require rehabilitative care to regain their mobility and improve their overall physical function. Your empathetic approach and expertise in orthopedic conditions will be vital to support each patient's specific needs.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Proven history of clinical competency with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, enhancing skills in patient assessment and rehabilitation.
• Experience with specific patient populations, such as post-operative patients or those with sport-related injuries, is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
