Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify emotional and social needs of students and their families.

• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing various social work interventions, ensuring active involvement of the patient and family in the process.

• Provide therapeutic support through individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to address issues stemming from illness, life transitions, or psychosocial stressors.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate discharge planning and secure necessary resources for post-service continuity.

• Deliver educational workshops and counseling sessions aimed at equipping students and families with coping strategies for dealing with diagnoses, illness, or difficult life situations.

• Act as a consultant within the healthcare team, sharing your expertise and providing education to other professionals on best practices in psychosocial support.

• Evaluate oncology patients for mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety, providing necessary therapeutic interventions.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to manage after-hour crises and urgent needs as they arise.

• Engage in community outreach efforts by providing educational resources and consultations to promote the well-being of cancer survivors.

• Drive advancements in the field of oncology social work through research, student training, and professional development initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on students facing mental health challenges within the school population. You will address various psychosocial issues, including emotional disturbances, behavioral problems, trauma, and the unique stressors associated with chronic illness. The role requires sensitivity and understanding of the factors impacting the health and well-being of students and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active Colorado LCSW license is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is essential; a Master's Degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Healing Garden Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
