Director of Human ResourcesLocation: Onsite, Ocala, FL - relocation availableCompensation: Competitive base salary + bonusPosition OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the full HR function within a large-scale hospitality and resort environment.This role centers on three core pillars: culture, employee relations, and recruiting. We are seeking a hands-on, strategic HR leader who can own the HR function from the ground up while partnering with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and talent strategy.The ideal candidate will bring HR leadership experience within hospitality or a comparably sized resort environment. Experience within a private-sector organization or unique brand is strongly preferred.Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.• Advise executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy.• Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and talent sourcing strategies.• Drive workplace culture, employee engagement, and employee relations initiatives.• Manage employee conflicts, disciplinary actions, and sensitive employee matters.• Oversee performance management, succession planning, career development, and training programs.• Administer compensation and benefits programs and conduct market analysis to support equitable pay structures.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain HR policies and procedures.• Oversee HRIS systems, HR data, workplace safety, and workers’ compensation programs.• Manage departmental budgets and provide HR metrics and reporting to senior leadership.What You Bring• 8-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.• HR leadership experience within hospitality or a resort environment of comparable size and complexity.• Experience within a private-sector organization or unique brand.• Demonstrated ability to own and lead a comprehensive HR function from the ground up.• Strong experience leading culture, employee relations, and recruiting.• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.• SHRM-SCP or PHR certification preferred.• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Requirements• Occasional travel to other locations or external meetings.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.Type: Direct HireCategory: Human ResourcesDate Posted: 2026-08-11
