Position Title: Tig Welder

Wage: $47,840-$58,240/year

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

QPS Employment Group is hiring a 1st shift Tig Welder for a company in Cedar Rapids. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to get into a first-class company early with potential for a long-term future.

Tig Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform TIG welding of stainless steel food-grade ovens and aluminum waveguides to CAD specifications
- Interpret blueprints and technical instructions for accurate sheet metal fabrication
- Ensure compliance with food processing equipment standards and maintain quality control
- Assemble, weld, and inspect components for structural and aesthetic precision
- Collaborate with teams on design adjustments and production challenges
- Manage materials inventory and ensure welding equipment is functional and safe
- Engage with customers to clarify project needs and provide updates as required
- Support general fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing

Tig Welder Requirements:
- Must have experience in the welding of sheet metal assemblies to CAD drawings, at a high-quality level and in food processing equipment standards
- Previous experience with being in contact with customers
- Previous experience with inventory management
- Ability to learn new computer software
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to show up for work every day
- Detail-oriented
- Some lifting of up to 50 pounds possible
- Able to be on feet throughout day
- Able to work well with others in a team
