TIG Welder

MIG & TIG WELDERS NEEDED! 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT!
Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG/MIG welding on thin-gauge aluminum parts used in aircraft and rail cockpit assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand weld requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment according to job specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and maintain consistent workflow in the weld area.
• Follow established procedures and best practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities in the press department, spot welding, and other areas as needed to support overall operations.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of ventilation systems and personal protective equipment.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of TIG welding experience, preferably with aluminum materials.
• At least 1 year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques for thin-gauge materials.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with press operations and spot welding processes.
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple production areas.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small welding team within a larger production floor.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CEDAR RAPIDS, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
