- Monitor pedestrian and vehicular activity at designated crossing locations.
- Safely stop traffic to allow pedestrians, especially school children, to cross the street.
- Remain alert and observant of surroundings to ensure the safety of all pedestrians.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, typically one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon when school is in session.
- Willing to adjust schedule on early-release (half) days, with mid-day coverage required.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Enjoy interacting with children, families, and members of the community.
- Schedule: Follows the public-school calendar; no work during school vacations or summer break.
- Starting hourly Rate: is $20.00 with annual step increase. The full salary range is $20.00-$30.52 per hour.
