About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join its Senior Executive Council and lead the HR team in aligning HR strategies with organizational values and objectives. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operational leader, taking a holistic approach to employee engagement and organizational culture. This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition and management, performance management, and policy administration. The VP will also be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with employment laws and for building a robust recruitment and retention strategy. A key focus of the role is on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and the VP will be expected to guide the integration of DEIB values into the organization's HR policies. Applicants for the Vice President of Human Resources position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years' in a leadership role. A strong background in compensation development and management is essential. The ideal candidate will have a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential, a proven track record in team leadership, and a deep commitment to DEIB. Experience in a social services nonprofit, particularly in child welfare or an adjacent field, is preferred. The role requires a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, effective project management skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast-paced, changing environment. The VP will also be responsible for maintaining labor relations and effective collaboration with the bargaining unit.
