A major global financial institution is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Documentation Specialist to support its Japanese Corporate Banking team in New York.

This position works closely with Japanese corporate clients, Relationship Managers, and internal banking teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of account and legal documentation. The role is well suited for candidates with prior experience in corporate banking documentation, account opening/maintenance, client services, banking operations, or related financial services functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with Japanese corporate clients regarding account and banking documentation.
  
• Review legal and account documents for completeness and accuracy and coordinate internal processing.
  
• Support account openings, closings, address/title changes, and other account maintenance requests.
  
• Explain required forms and documentation to clients and follow up on outstanding items.
  
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Operations, Compliance, and other internal departments.
  
• Maintain accurate records and databases and assist with audits, reporting, and process improvement.
  

• Fluency in Japanese and English (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
  
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  
• Prior experience with banking or financial documentation strongly preferred.
  
• Experience in corporate banking, financial services, banking operations, client services, or a corporate treasury/finance function is highly desirable.
  
• Familiarity with financial/legal documents and corporate banking procedures.
  
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
