Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the frequency, intensity, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address emotional and behavioral challenges faced by clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote better mental health outcomes.

• Monitor clients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches based on their evolving needs.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.

• Maintain current knowledge of advancements in mood disorder research to enhance therapeutic practices.
\n
• Document all client interactions and treatment processes accurately in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to ensure up-to-date clinical practices.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, addressing stigma and ensuring they receive appropriate support and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers around working with diverse individuals and families dealing primarily with issues related to divorce, relationship challenges, and mood disorders. You will provide support and counseling tailored to those experiencing significant life transitions and emotional distress, helping them navigate their journeys to recovery and improvement.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• Possession of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.

• Empathetic, supportive, and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure the fulfillment of clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in various therapeutic modalities, such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, narrative therapy, or communication-focused approaches, would be beneficial. Familiarity with integrated care settings and collaborative treatment models is also advantageous. Prior work experience specifically related to divorce and relationship counseling is highly preferred.
