Proposal Manager – Job Description Drive end-to-end RFP (request for proposal) execution by leading cross‑functional teams, developing compliant and compelling content, and leveraging tools and best practices to deliver high‑quality, on‑time proposals that strengthen competitive positioning and win outcomes. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end proposal development for RFPs, managing timelines, integrating win themes, and ensuring compliance with submission requirements, branding standards, and quality expectations. Partner with sales, marketing, pricing, and SMEs to lead cross‑functional proposal teams and advise sales leadership on bid strategy and proposal approach. Oversee content development to ensure alignment with evaluation criteria, while editing and proofreading for accuracy, consistency, and clear, persuasive messaging. Utilize tools such as Responsive, Salesforce CRM, and AI solutions to track opportunities, manage content, and monitor proposal progress to ensure timely completion. Drive continuous improvement by maintaining templates and content libraries, conducting post‑proposal debriefs, and capturing lessons learned to enhance future submissions. Provide conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement to resolve issues as they arise during the proposal lifecycle. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in proposal management, including responding to RFPs. 3+ years of experience developing proposals and project management. At least a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to edit and proofread for accuracy and persuasive messaging. Experience with proposal tools and content management systems. Physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirement: ability to perform tasks with or without accommodation. Benefits Compensation range in Tennessee: $89,000 to $141,000 annually (actual base pay may vary). Annual incentive bonus, sales commission, and long‑term incentives may be offered.
