Litigation Legal Assistant | Construction Defect Litigation
Tampa, Florida $60,000–$75,000 + Benefits
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing and well-respected law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with a background in construction defect, construction litigation, or insurance defense matters . This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through all phases of complex litigation.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys handling construction defect and complex litigation matters
- Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, and correspondence
- Coordinate Florida state and federal court e-filings
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Organize and maintain case files and litigation documents
- Assist with discovery, document production, and case management
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and materials for hearings, mediations, and trial
- Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Enter attorney time and assist with billing functions as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience
- Experience supporting construction defect, construction litigation, or insurance defense matters preferred
- Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures and e-filing requirements
- Excellent document preparation, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy litigation practice
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Strong communication and client service skills

- Complex litigation support
- Discovery coordination and document management
- Trial, mediation, and deposition preparation
- Experience with document management and e-discovery platforms
