Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 year of recent experience. - Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs is required. - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams. - IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Peripheral Line Care/Management. - Respiratory: Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management. - Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - Please keep RTO close to 1 week. - No locals within 75 miles of the facility.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population with cardiovascular and wound diagnoses. - Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in). - PCTs on all units perform vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. - Hoyer lifts and wound vacs used on the unit.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: - Float required to MS, ICU, and ED. If floated to ICU or ED, it is to care for Med/Surg level patients or be helping hands. Will not practice outside of scope.
