Registered Nurse – Progressive Care / Inpatient Observation Unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the Emergency Department
• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-level holds
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs in a dynamic care environment
• Float to other units or areas within scope of competency as needed
• Participate in holiday coverage as an expected part of the role

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or similar specialty within an acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience with trauma overflow or observation unit patient populations
• Comfort working in high-acuity, fast-paced environments with fluctuating patient census
