Human Resources Assistant

Primary Functions The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a wide range of activities including recruiting, HR reporting, benefit, and general HR administration. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR function and supporting both employees and management. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Recruiting Proactively source candidates using various job boards. Review resumes and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit. Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Initiate necessary pre-employment checks in accordance with company policies and procedures. Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with teams to communicate and implement HR initiatives. Maintain some level of HRIS database. Provide support to HR team members as needed. Support with the annual performance review process. Manage HR correspondence, files, and documentation. Perform other duties and assignments as needed. Skills And Qualifications 1+ year experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar HR/administrative role. 1-2 years’ experience in recruitment; high volume experience is preferred. Benefit administration experience is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to accurately follow instructions. Experience using HRIS systems, preferably with Workday. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Bilingual Chinese Mandarin is highly preferred. Education And/Or Training High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
