Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Description Way-Tech Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of our commercial and industrial construction projects. This role will assist with job cost tracking, accounts payable and receivable, weekly payroll, and financial record maintenance using Sage and Excel. Job Highlights The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a high level of accuracy and organization 5+ years of accounting experience in construction industry (REQUIRED) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, financial tracking) Experience with Sage Strong understanding of job costing and percentage-of-completion accounting High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient 10-key typing and data entry skills Benefits Pay: $50,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year 2 weeks paid vacation Paid Holidays Responsibilities This role will consist of job cost tracking, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, and financial record maintenance using Sage and Excel Handle full-cycle construction accounting, including job costing Manage project cost tracking, budget analysis, and variance reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations Monitor project billing, retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor payments Support month-end and year-end close processes Coordinate with project managers to review budgets, change orders, and forecasts Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation Support cash flow management and financial planning Use Microsoft Excel to create and maintain job cost reports and financial spreadsheets Company Description Way-Tech Inc. is a Houston-based general contractor with over 45 years of experience in the construction industry.
