RN - PACU

Registered Nurse - PACU & Pre/Post-Operative UnitWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our PACU and Pre/Post-Operative unit. This is a 13-week contract position with flexible scheduling primarily centered around a 5x8 hour shift from 08:30 to 17:00. Candidates should have experience in an outpatient surgery setting, and be prepared for variable start times between 06:00 and 08:30. As a PACU nurse, candidates are expected to complete their shifts without relief.ResponsibilitiesProvide postoperative care in the PACU and Pre/Post-Operative areas.Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.Conduct pre-op assessments and patient education.Perform discharge instructions and follow-up phone calls.Assist in managing patients receiving outpatient surgical procedures across various specialties.Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 1 year of RN experience, with specific experience in PACU preferred.Active CA state RN license; pending licenses accepted.Current certification in ACLS and BLS; PALS preferred.ScheduleThis position requires flexibility, with primary shifts from 08:30 to 17:00, and potential variations in start times. Weekend coverage is not required, and there are no call duties.LocationLocation details are not specified.
