Workday HCM Consultant - Technical Resource

THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOININGYou will be joining AccruePartners' Project Solutions practice, partnering with a collaborative, mission-driven organization currently completing a major transformation from ADP Workforce Now to Workday HCM. Our Project Solutions practice supports clients across four core pillars: Enterprise Program & PMO Leadership; Business & Technology Enablement; Process Optimization; and Operational Readiness & Change Adoption. In this engagement, you will work closely with HR, benefits, payroll, talent, recruiting, compensation, and other key business stakeholders on a highly visible implementation. The internal team is already engaged and carries existing Workday knowledge, with a strong commitment to building sustainable internal processes. An experienced Workday implementation partner is supporting the broader deployment, and this consultant will provide additional technical ownership and oversight in a hands-on environment where team members are encouraged to jump in, solve problems, and work collectively toward a successful launch. LOCATIONPrimarily remote, with periodic onsite collaboration in the Charlotte area. WHAT WE OFFER YOUA flexible, part-time consulting engagement averaging approximately 15 to 30 hours per week based on project needs The ability to work primarily remotely, with periodic onsite collaboration in the Charlotte area Direct access to key internal stakeholders and the opportunity to influence critical implementation decisions A well-defined project timeline, including active testing, an October 2, 2026 go-live, and post-launch stabilization The opportunity to apply broad Workday knowledge without taking on a traditional full-time commitment WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANTThis consultant will serve as the technical quarterback for a highly visible Workday HCM implementation impacting the broader organization. The role reviews the implementation partner's work, validates system configuration, and identifies potential gaps before they affect go-live, while providing hands-on support with backend configuration, business process changes, reporting, integrations, and technical adjustments. Just as importantly, this consultant will help internal Workday administrators balance ongoing business responsibilities with the demands of testing and implementation, and will support the organization through testing, go-live readiness, troubleshooting, and post-production stabilization. Success in this role means building the processes and system knowledge that allow the organization to manage Workday successfully over the long term.
