People Operations Specialist

About The Role The role owns the day-to-day administration of human resources operations, onboarding systems, and employee lifecycle touchpoints. Working closely with the broader People team, this position ensures that operational workflows run seamlessly, compliance requirements are strictly met, and internal systems are updated with high data integrity. The position serves as the primary operational point of contact for employees, managing HR inquiries, maintaining documentation, and scaling HR processes as the organization grows. It requires a balanced combination of data-driven precision, process execution, and strong interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end employee onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating with IT, security, and payroll teams to ensure a flawless Day 1 and exit experience. Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)—such as Workday, BambooHR, or Rippling—to guarantee 100% data integrity and generate monthly headcount and attrition reports. Administer global employee benefits programs, including health insurance plans, retirement accounts, leave of absence policies, and wellness perks. Resolve daily employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, payroll discrepancy escalations, and system access issues within established SLA timelines. Draft and maintain internal documentation, company-wide HR policies, compliance handbooks, and wiki pages on platforms like Notion or Confluence. Lead compliance audits, including maintaining up-to-date I-9 verification records, managing state tax registrations, and coordinating annual compliance filings. What We Are Looking For 2-4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a closely related HR generalist role. Hands‑on administrative experience with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, or ADP) and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira Service Desk). Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance guidelines. Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential data with discretion and professional integrity. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
