Job reference REQ00000020177 Date posted 25/06/2026 Application closing date 09/07/2026 Location CUMBERLAND-WIDE Salary £34,434 to £35,412 per annum Package Blank Contractual hours 37 Basis Full time Attachments Blank Role Summary The Cumberland Youth Connect Team is looking to recruit a Child Exploitation Intervention Worker to provide a range of interventions and support to children and young people who are at risk of and are victims of child exploitation. As part of the role you will also support the completion of return home interviews with young people who go missing and who are at risk of child exploitation. You will work as part of an integrated team, working with multi-agency teams to ensure all professionals working with children, who are at risk of and are victims of child exploitation understand child exploitation. You will lead on the planning of interventions to support the child in exiting exploitation and staying safe; help identify perpetrators using intelligence gathering, whilst maintaining a therapeutic relationship with young people who are exploited by adults. The successful candidate will work with a number of families and individuals who are at risk of or victims of child exploitation, working to support the children and their families. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of Early Help, Children’s Social Care and knowledge and experience of completing safeguarding referrals as needed. They will be proactive and caring in their approach to supporting vulnerable people and can travel independently across the region, including at times to rural settings.
