Chief Operating Officer (COO)

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead enterprise-wide operations and drive operational excellence across a growing, multi-site organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing operational strategies, improving efficiency, leading organizational transformation, and ensuring the successful execution of business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with extensive experience managing complex operations, fostering high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable business growth.

Position Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead all operational functions to ensure the organization achieves quarterly and annual business objectives.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, scalability, and overall business performance.
• Partner with executive leadership to align operational priorities with long-term corporate goals.
• Establish and maintain an effective Management Operating System (MOS).

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Develop and execute operational roadmaps supporting organizational growth.
• Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to drive informed decision-making.
• Evaluate business performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Build processes that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Multi-Site Operations Management

• Oversee operations across multiple facilities while promoting consistency and standardization.
• Support site leadership through coaching, performance management, and operational guidance.
• Improve collaboration between locations to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Ensure alignment of operational priorities across the organization.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
• Develop standardized procedures, best practices, and performance management systems.
• Improve production efficiency, quality performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a culture focused on accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Supply Chain & Engineering Leadership

• Provide leadership for supply chain, manufacturing engineering, logistics, maintenance, and quality functions.
• Ensure operational resources are aligned with customer demand and business objectives.
• Improve planning processes to optimize production and delivery performance.
• Support engineering initiatives that improve operational capabilities.

Technology & Systems Management

• Guide enterprise technology and IT initiatives supporting operational performance.
• Drive implementation of systems that improve visibility, reporting, and business efficiency.
• Support digital transformation and operational modernization efforts.
• Promote data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Organizational Development & Change Management

• Lead organizational transformation initiatives that strengthen culture and improve performance.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused leadership.
• Build strong leadership teams capable of supporting future organizational growth.
• Champion continuous improvement and organizational development.

Business Growth & Corporate Development

• Support mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic investments and partnerships.
• Strengthen operational capabilities to support long-term growth objectives.
• Build scalable operational infrastructure for future expansion.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA or advanced business degree is highly desirable.
• 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
• Extensive experience leading multi-site manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong background in operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, quality systems, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
• Strong analytical, financial, and business planning capabilities.
• Experience managing cross-functional executive leadership teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• APICS Certification
• Executive Leadership or Operational Excellence Certification
