Your primary objective will be to enhance patients' mobility and overall quality of life by providing expert evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

Work Environment

Your work will take place onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility, where you'll collaborate closely with a team of fellow clinicians, including two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The facility is designed to provide a supportive and motivating atmosphere for both patients and staff, with dedicated spaces for hands-on therapy, exercise, and patient assessment. Your work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify functional limitations and establish personalized treatment goals.
• Manage a patient caseload, dedicating quality time to each client, with an expectation of treating one patient per hour.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques that are cost-effective, reducing patients' reliance on medications and unnecessary surgeries.
• Design comprehensive care plans that utilize manual therapy, strength training, and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform regular evaluations of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Motivate patients throughout their therapy sessions to enhance their physical capabilities and promote adherence to rehabilitation protocols.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment modalities thoroughly in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically using WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide a comprehensive continuum of care.
• Educate patients on wellness strategies, including lifestyle modifications to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic includes individuals experiencing musculoskeletal issues and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries. You will work extensively with diverse age groups and fitness levels, focusing on developing personalized rehabilitation plans that address their specific challenges, goals, and everyday functional needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• No history of disciplinary actions that compromise professional integrity.
• Strong proficiency in various manual therapy techniques.
• Exceptional ability to design and implement effective exercise protocols and rehabilitation strategies.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, we welcome recent graduates with relevant clinical internships or practicums. Candidates with experience in sports medicine or alternative therapeutic methodologies will be given additional consideration.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, supplemented with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, continuing education stipends, and opportunities for professional development.
