The company is currently seeking an Assembler. Responsibilities Position Summary/Primary Purpose Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Assembly Technician (Laborer) will assemble conveyors/carousel components according to specific drawings, Unit Build Instructions (UBI), and layout drawings in accordance with the customer/company specifications. Major Areas of Responsibility Assemble conveyors/carousel components according to specific drawings, Unit Build Instructions (UBI), and layout drawings Test conveyor motors and track conveyor belting on queue conveyors Palletize/crate conveyors & carousel components in a manner applicable to each job Assist in the check-in of incoming shipments/shipping of outgoing shipments as required in the shop Keep shop in clean and proper order Basic Broad Knowledge English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Qualifications Basic Skills & Abilities Time Management Managing one's own time and the time of others. Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Judgment and Decision Making Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Monitoring Monitoring/Assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Verbal and Written Expression and Recognition The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences. Information Ordering The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
