Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate nursing care for a patient or assigned group in accordance with the nursing process and established standards.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines; apply critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, develop and implement an evidence-based plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; communicate with the treatment team to promote a safe and healing environment.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; participate in ongoing learning opportunities and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice (California) or applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AH-approved vendor; CPR certification or equivalent acceptable per policy.
• BSN preferred; acute care facility experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in the field; cardiac/acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term acute care hospital setting.
