Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Waynesboro, Virginia. You will work a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional rotating hospital shifts on weekends. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess physical functionality and mobility, and establish individualized treatment goals.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans based on physician referrals, applying various therapeutic techniques to maximize patient rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring that the delivery of patient care aligns with clinical standards.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and case managers, to facilitate comprehensive patient care and communicate progress and changes in treatment plans.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and peer collaboration to enhance your skills and knowledge within the physical therapy field.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• A current physical therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or clinical setting.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and challenges, enhancing your ability to tailor treatment plans effectively.
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities and techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities for pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
