Full-Time Baker

Merenda Box | Conshohocken, PA

Merenda Box is a Brazilian bakery in Conshohocken offering traditional Brazilian favorites alongside pastries, breads, cakes, laminated doughs, and savory baked goods.

We’re looking for an experienced Full-Time Baker to join our team. This is an early-morning position responsible for opening the bakery, executing the morning bake, and keeping daily production moving throughout the shift.

Our menu is varied, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working across different products, understands professional baking, and takes pride in quality and consistency.

What You’ll Do:

• Open the bakery and prepare the kitchen and ovens for the day.
• Organize and execute the morning bake and daily production.
• Scale, mix, shape, proof, bake, fill, and finish bakery products.
• Work with pastries, breads, laminated doughs, cakes, pão de queijo, savory pastries, fillings, and other daily items.
• Manage several products at different stages while keeping production on schedule.
• Monitor proofing, bake times, texture, appearance, and finished quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
• Follow recipes, production schedules, labeling, storage, and FIFO standards.
• Communicate ingredient, equipment, or quality concerns to management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional bakery, pastry, or commercial baking experience required.
• 2+ years of professional baking experience preferred.
• Comfortable with commercial mixers, ovens, proofing equipment, and bakery tools.
• Strong understanding of dough handling, proofing, temperature control, and baking techniques.
• Organized and able to manage multiple products at once.
• Reliable and punctual for early-morning opening shifts.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Schedule & Pay:

• Full-time.
• Early-morning opening shifts.
• Weekend availability required.
• Starting at $18/hour, with pay based on experience.
