Delivery Technician

Buddy’s Home Furnishings is the third‑largest Rent‑To‑Own (RTO) retail provider of furniture, appliances, electronics and computers in the United States. Benefits Salary: $9.00 – $11.00 per hour (max pay BOP) Paid Time Off Closed on Sundays Employee Discounts Training provided and cross‑trained in all aspects of the role In‑person job, available only at the specified location Must be over the age of 21 to be considered Position Summary Help maintain appearance of showroom. Take primary role in delivery and pick up of merchandise. May perform additional functions or duties as assigned by the general manager. Demonstrate effective communication and reasoning skills and show growth potential. Principal Responsibilities Acquire and maintain customers Demonstrate product features and explain benefits Basic furniture, appliance and electronics installation/removal Comply with all company vehicle safety standards and documentation Inside/outside service calls Protection of company assets including but not limited to inventory, equipment and vehicles All other duties deemed necessary by store management Requirements Intermediate math skills Maintain professional appearance Must be able to drive during daytime, nighttime and meet all safety requirements Must be able to explain terms of rental/lease agreement to customer Must be able to fill out receipt books and make journal entries Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over telephone Must be able to work overtime Must be able to work on showroom floor and be proficient in product features and benefits Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates General Physical Requirements Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving and using a dolly for merchandise 50–300 pounds Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances and electronics Prolonged driving and standing Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions Additional Information Buddy’s Home Furnishings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug‑Free Workplace A detailed background check, including driving history and drug screening, is required #J-18808-Ljbffr ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing
