Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.We’re seeking an experienced, high caliber Senior Financial Analyst to support our Neuromodulation Operations organization. This role is responsible for owning cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and financial reporting, and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate cost visibility and operational performance insight.The role provides high visibility into manufacturing operations and direct exposure to cross-functional leadership, while leading key processes within month-end close, forecasting cycles, and management reporting. The individual will develop a deep understanding of manufacturing activity and cost drivers, and deliver clear, actionable insights to support operational and financial decision-making, with regular interaction with leadership through reporting and presentations.What You'll Work On Own cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods soldAnalyze and explain manufacturing variances (PPV, labor, overhead, yield, absorption) and operational drivers to drive cost transparency and improve operational performancePartner with Operations, Supply Chain, and site leadership to monitor and improve cost performanceSupport month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysisForecasting and planning cycles (LBE) with a focus on cost and operational assumptionsPrepare consolidated reporting, dashboards, and presentations for leadershipProvide insights and analysis to support business and operational decisionsBuild financial models to support cost improvements, productivity initiatives, and capital investmentsWork with business partners to develop clear financial commentary tied to operational resultsEnsure compliance with financial controls, inventory processes, and company policiesMaintain effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environmentPerform other related duties and responsibilities, as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or demonstrated equivalent experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance4+ years of experience in cost accounting and/or manufacturing finance (required)Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory, and operational finance conceptsExperience with financial close, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modelingProficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial systemsExperience working in a matrixed and cross-functional environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendationsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience partnering directly with manufacturing and plant operations teamsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) supporting cost accounting and inventoryDemonstrated ability to influence operational decisions through financial insightKey CharacteristicsStrong cost accounting foundation with hands-on operational exposureAbility to connect financial results to plant-level performance and cost driversProactive, detail-oriented, and results-drivenComfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentEffective business partner who can both support and challenge stakeholdersCollaborative team player with a willingness to support shared goals and contribute to team successApply NowLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
