- Personal Lines Insurance ProducerEssex County, NJPersonal Lines Insurance Producer (1099 Contractor)Location: Essex County, NJ (Hybrid)Compensation: $4,000/month base + uncapped commissionsAbout the OpportunityA growing independent insurance agency is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Insurance Producer to help expand its client base and manage customer relationships. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone who enjoys sales, building relationships, and helping individuals protect what matters most.You'll work closely with agency leadership while building your own book of business in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.What You'll Do- Generate and close new personal lines insurance business- Build and maintain long-term client relationships- Assist clients with policy recommendations and coverage changes- Respond to client requests, questions, and policy servicing needs- Process insurance applications and ensure documentation is completed accurately- Coordinate direct payments and policy updates with clients- Leverage CRM and AI-powered tools to improve workflow and client communication- Develop referral relationships and grow your network through local outreach and networkingCompensation- 1099 Independent Contractor- $4,000 monthly base- Uncapped commission structure- Opportunity to earn recurring income through renewals- High earning potential as your book of business growsExample Commission- $100,000 annual premium written- 20% agency commission = $20,000- Example producer split:- Producer: $12,000- Agency: $8,000Additional bonuses and higher earnings are available as production increases.Qualifications- Strong communication and relationship-building skills- Sales experience preferred- Customer service experience preferred- Basic accounting or accounts receivable experience is a plus- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset- Organized and detail-oriented- Comfortable using CRM systems and modern technologyLicensingCandidates should possess, or be willing to obtain:- Property & Casualty Insurance License- Life & Health License (preferred or obtainable after hire)The agency is willing to assist qualified candidates in obtaining the necessary licenses, with a goal of becoming licensed within approximately 90 days.We're looking for someone who:- Is interested in building a long-term career in insurance- Enjoys networking and developing lasting client relationships- Takes ownership of their results- Thrives in a performance-driven environment- Wants to build a book of business with significant long-term income potentialHiring Process- Two-step interview process- Initial interview- Final interview/handshake meeting with agency leadership
