Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Profession: Advanced Practice Specialty: Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine Duration: 1 month Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Candidates must have experience as a PA/NP in an emergency department setting that includes adults and children, as well as competence with performing standard emergency department procedures. License: Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan is required. Certifications: State of Michigan controlled substance license required. Must-Have: Current DEA registration required. AHA approved BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required. Description:Schedule is from 9 AM to 9 PM.No on-call hours required.Primary responsibilities include assessing and treating patients in the emergency department.The role involves performing triage, stabilization, and emergency procedures as required.Candidates will need to provide rapid clinical decision-making in high-pressure situations.Collaboration with nurses, specialists, and support staff to deliver high-quality care is essential.Documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in the hospital’s EMR is expected.The position works in the main emergency department with single coverage.There will be collaboration with 1-2 board certified Emergency Medicine Physicians in the department.Experience in a fast-paced, high acuity emergency department is desired.Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are necessary.Ancillary services are available to support the emergency department.The facility is a level 2 trauma center.Expected patient encounters per shift are approximately 12-15 plus handoffs.The nearest airport is available for convenience.Lodging recommendations are provided for travel needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
