Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Westlake, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
