DENTAL ASSISTANT, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

Dental Assistant, CF – Folsom State Prison Salary: $4,031.00 – $7,457.00 per month (based on classification). 12‑month limited term, eligible for extension to permanent. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, Correctional Facility, and/or Supervising Dental Assistant, CF, the Dental Assistant performs supportive dental procedures in accordance with the California Dental Practice Act, CDCR Dental Program, and HCDOM policies. The assistant assists with daily operations of a dental office, maintains order among inmates, supervises inmate duties, and ensures the safety of persons and property. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience as a dental assistant (or equivalent training). Examination eligibility by passing the Dental Assistant, Correctional Facility exam. Special Requirements Background investigation clearance. Medical clearance. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card. Licensure or required DBC‑approved training (e.g., 32‑hour Radiation Safety; 8‑hour Infection Control; 2‑hour California Dental Practice Act).
