Import Operations Coordinator

Responsible for all day-to-day activities in the transportation cycle: dispatching carriers to align with our customers’ needs, tracking shipments, customer reporting, issue resolution and invoicing. What You'll Do Support Import Department in all aspects of Import Traffic activity. Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the transportation cycle; including contacting drivers for status updates. Responsible for executing shipments, customer reporting, customer tracking and customer billing. Understand customs and freight releases and how/whom to contact for resolution. Update customer records via Descartes operating system, ensuring data integrity. Other duties and projects as assigned. What We're Looking For 2-3 years’ experience providing stellar, responsive, front-line customer service is preferred. Associates or Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with a focus on International Business preferred. Highly organized; possessing the ability to learn and apply established procedures within a short ramp-up time. Quick learner, multi-tasker, organized, detail-oriented, problem-solver. Strong customer service and communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience managing/prioritizing own work assignments, and meeting deadlines. Requires confidence and independent decision-making skills to problem-solve, juggle competing priorities, and provide accurate and responsive customer service. Ability to quickly assess client situations and elevate to management when needed. Must have willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment and work well with others as a team.
