Department: Back of House (BOH)Reports To: Soux Chef > Executive Chef
Location: The Americano                                                   Pay: $18.00 + / hour

Job Summary
Line Cooks execute dinner service with precision, consistency, and urgency. This role prepares high-quality dishes according to The Americano’s standards while keeping the assigned station clean, organized, and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

● Set up and stock the assigned station before service.
● Prepare menu items according to The Americano’s recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
● Maintain consistent food quality, temperature, seasoning, and appearance.
● Manage multiple tickets accurately during high-volume dinner service.
● Communicate clearly with chefs, kitchen teammates, and front-of-house staff.
● Support other stations as needed.
● Keep the workstation clean, safe, and organized throughout the shift.
● Complete evening breakdown, food storage, labeling, sanitation, and deep cleaning.
● Assist with prep, inventory, product rotation, and waste reduction.
● Follow all food-safety, allergen, hygiene, and workplace-safety requirements.
● Report equipment issues, shortages, and quality concerns to kitchen leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

● One or more years of professional kitchen experience is preferred.
● Upscale or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus.
● Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
● Ability to follow recipes and produce consistent results.
● Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
● Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
● Must have or obtain a current Arizona Food Handler Card.
● Available for evenings, late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
● Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
