Mid-Level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate - Bio/Pharm

Finnegan’s Bio/Pharm Practice is seeking mid-level litigation associates in our Washington, D.C. and Reston, VA offices. Successful candidates must have 3-5 years of solid patent litigation experience , including researching and drafting pleadings, discovery, and motion papers. Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries is required . Exceptional writing skills are a must. Advanced degree in Biology/Biological Sciences or related degree preferred. Finnegan’s litigation practice covers all aspects of IP-related disputes, from complex patent litigation and appeals to high-profile trademark disputes. Our 230+ experienced litigators have handled hundreds of cases at all stages of litigation before courts and government agencies across the United States and in Germany and the UK. In the last five years, Finnegan has represented clients in more than 200 appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Whether enforcing IP rights or defending against infringement or trade secret misappropriation accusations, our litigation teams know the procedural intricacies and calculated risks to consider in business disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, advertising, and trade secrets. Candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in relevant jurisdiction(s). The base annual pay range for this role is between $260,000 - $365,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.
