Executive Sous Chef

Altair is seeking an experienced Interim Sous Chef to join our team for a 3–4 month assignment covering a maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role working alongside the Executive Chef in a fast-paced, seasonal kitchen focused on quality, consistency, and teamwork.
Salary: $90,000 annually (prorated for the term)
Responsibilities- Lead AM and PM service shifts
- Manage and work the line during service
- Daily prep and production
- Fish and meat butchery
- Ordering and inventory
- Assist with banquet and private event execution
- Maintain organization, sanitation, and quality standards
- Support, train, and motivate the kitchen team
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Previous Sous Chef experience in a high-volume, scratch kitchen
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
