Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment and ensuring high-quality care is delivered at all times.

• Location: Arlington, TX
• Unit: ICU 2
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Rotation: Required

Qualifications

• Required Experience:
  
  
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience
• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Certifications:
  
  
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)

Unit Information

• Staffing: Assignments are made based on patient acuity and staff skills.
• Equipment: Familiarity with all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors is essential.
• Documentation System: Meditech is the primary documentation system used.
• Floating Policy: Nurses may be required to float as needed based on staffing needs.

Patient Care Responsibilities

Registered Nurses in this position will be expected to perform various procedures, including but not limited to:

• Central line placements
• Bedside procedures such as thoracentesis and dialysis catheter placements
• Cardioversion
• Intubation and other ICU-related procedures

Dress Code and Appearance Standards

• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Nail Policy: Nails should be clean and healthy; artificial nails, gels, and similar products are not permitted.
• Hair: Must be neat and clean. No extreme styles or colors. Hair longer than shoulder-length should be pulled back.
• Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible.
• Piercings: Only ear piercings are permitted; all other visible piercings are prohibited.
