Patent Litigation Legal Assistant

Our client, a premier full-service corporate law firm, is seeking a motivated and experienced Patent Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role. Key Responsibilities: Document Management & Tech: Edit, revise, and clean up legal documents using Litera, CompareDocs, and Best Authority (Tables of Authorities/Contents). Manage files via iManage DMS. Filings & Docketing: Handle electronic filings (E-filing) for Federal, State, and Bankruptcy courts. Review dockets, track deadlines, and notify attorneys. Patent Prosecution Support: Assist with USPTO filings, Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), and prior art searches. Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits, prepare trial binders, bookmark PDFs, and coordinate court appearance logistics. Administrative & Billing Support: Manage Outlook calendars, travel arrangements, and phone calls. Enter and edit attorney time via Aderant/Intapp and assist with expense reports. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of Patent and Litigation experience within a law firm setting. Education: High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office 365, iManage, Best Authority, Intapp, Lexis/Westlaw, Litera, and DocuSign. Certifications: Hold a current Notary Public commission (or willingness to acquire within the first 6 months).
