Responsible for implementation of HR strategic direction in alignment with VP, HR & Admin Services for organizations in Hyundai Motor America and Genesis Motor America.
Develop organizational strategies and provide oversight and direction in all aspects of Human Resources (i.e. Staffing, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training, Corporate Travel and Organizational Development) for Hyundai Motor America & Genesis Motor America. Serve as a trusted and strategic advisor to executives and department leaders to support the goals and vision of the company. Review organization on a bi-annual basis for organizational changes and management rotations. Provide team and individual coaching to optimize performance and develop staff. Plan and manage training programs as well as mentorship programs to develop high value company capabilities. Utilize the diverse talents of the staff by efficiently managing staff's time, materials, and budget. Assess performance gaps and deliver solutions to lift organizational performance. Lead and enhance established company HR programs, policies, and procedures. Handle ad hoc requests from global headquarters and affiliated companies. Maintain Human Resources budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility. Make hiring, termination and employee relations decisions. Approve employees' time off, sign Purchase Requests, and Accounting documents. Submit HR & Admin budgets.
Must be a high school graduate. Bachelor's degree preferred. Master's degree a plus. Fifteen plus years of HR experience with working knowledge of all traditional disciplines within HR. Experience in labor relations is preferred. Experience with a multinational firm is desired. At least five years of supervisory experience desired. Organized, communicative, can effectively delegate and follow-up. Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and office e-mail systems. Excellent verbal and written skills. SPHR or SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification preferred.
Compensation Range: $178,200 - $264,000 annual base salary Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance) Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years. Vacation and sick time off Healthcare insurance (medical, dental, and vision) 401(K) company match Additional 401(K) Employer Enhanced Contribution program – eligible after 1 year of employment, in addition to the regular employer matching contribution Basic life insurance, short- and long-term disability Mental health, wellbeing, and employee assistance program Health advocate (coordinate care and services, assistance with claim and billing issues, understanding Hyundai benefits)
