Maintenance & Production Technician

This dual-role position is designed for a motivated professional who can seamlessly transition between supporting high-quality manufacturing production and ensuring our facility equipment remains in peak operating condition. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude for equipment repairs and a background in industrial material handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Support: Perform routine machine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Equipment Repair: Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Production Assistance: Support fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring parts are processed for quality and readiness.
• Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and heavy equipment to move freight, load/unload shipments, and organize production materials.
• Facility Upkeep: Monitor and replenish machine fluids (coolant, water, and oil) and manage chip bin replacement to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Documentation: Verify product counts against shipping documents and ensure accuracy in material receiving.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
• Equipment Operation: Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is required.
• Trade Knowledge: A background in trades such as welding, carpentry, or masonry is highly preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical trade program (e.g., Welding or Mechanics) is a plus.
• Communication: Strong reliability and the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical labor, including loading/unloading freight and performing standing tasks for the duration of the shift.

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday – Friday

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
