How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: The Cath Lab RN assesses implementation and evaluation of patients in Cath Lab. * Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients * Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. * Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate. * Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. * Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: * Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) * Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
