Payroll Support Specialist

The salary range for this position is $27.44/hour-$35.67/hour. DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance. Job Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll including balancing and reconciling all payroll figures Maintain a working relationship with our payroll provider to ensure that any questions associated with the processing of payroll are handled in a timely manner. Ensure the timecards posted by employees and contractors are posted correctly and in a timely manner. Verify payroll, including entering any exceptions such as overtime, personal time, sick time, vacation time, etc. Verify year-end bonuses or achievement awards through the payroll system Prepare reports as required Balance the total YTD payroll figures calculated on the control worksheet to both the Employee File Maintenance Report and the Payroll Balance Sheet reports Balance direct deposit payroll data and release to bank as arranged May prepare wire transfer request forms for all payrolls Balance all garnishments and issue checks to appropriate agencies through accounts payable system Prepare verifications of employment for employee credit applications, mortgages, etc. Balance all year-end W-2 data, including gross wages, taxes, life insurance, moving expenses, car allowances, etc. Answer payroll inquiries from a variety of sources including employees, management, banks, governmental agencies etc. May prepare journal entries as needed, such as to record void checks, errors, etc. Coordinate efforts with other departments to facilitate the overall productivity of the finance team Will assist with other finance activities as assigned. Work involves sensitive and confidential information; discretion is essential Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Qualifications High school diploma and a minimum of two years experience working with ADP payroll, EV6 version is preferred Solid knowledge of payroll business procedures and principles Working knowledge of computerized payroll systems Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Costpoint experience is a plus Knowledge of local, state and federal laws that pertain to the payment of wages #J-18808-Ljbffr
