Senior Sales Executive -Oil and Gas Automation

GLX Technologies is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive growth in the upstream and midstream oil and gas market through direct selling of field automation and professional services. This is a quota‑carrying role focused on closing 250k+ engagements that include system assessment, integration, construction, commissioning, and lifecycle support. This position is services‑led and field‑automation‑first. The successful candidate will own mid‑market operator accounts from initial engagement through close and expansion, working collaboratively with executive leadership, engineering, and delivery teams. Location preference: Greater Permian Basin (Texas / New Mexico). Houston will be considered for the right candidate. Functions and Responsibilities Own and grow key upstream and midstream accounts Close complex, multi‑stakeholder automation and services engagements Coordinate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure scope and expectations remain aligned Professionally challenge the status quo and bring insight‑led recommendations Align field automation initiatives with broader SCADA strategies Operate in a collaborative, team‑based selling model Required Qualifications/Experience 5‑8+ years selling field automation or integration services into oil and gas operators Proven success closing large, services‑led deals Familiarity with industrial field automation and its connection to SCADA systems Strong executive presence and ability to engage technical and operational stakeholders Willingness to travel within the Permian region Education Preferred BA in Marketing, Business, or Communication.
