Job Title: Business Analyst Lead/Spec


Location (city, state): Oklahoma City, OK


Pay : $50.00 - $70.00 per hour depending on experience


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour days; start time between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. Hybrid schedule preferred with 2 days remote; fully remote candidates may be considered.

Job Description:


The Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, and vendors to define business needs, develop requirements, evaluate processes, and support technology initiatives from planning through implementation. This position requires strong analytical and project leadership skills, along with the ability to independently manage complex assignments and communicate effectively across technical and business teams.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis activities for complex projects and business initiatives.
• Facilitate requirements and design discussions with stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, detailed requirements.
• Develop project documentation and planning materials as needed.
• Assess existing and future business processes to identify impacts, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with change management and training teams to support process updates and organizational readiness.
• Identify technical challenges that may affect project requirements or solution design.
• Review technical documentation and provide feedback to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Partner with project managers and testing teams to confirm project deliverables meet established requirements.
• Assist with testing and defect management, including issue identification, prioritization, and resolution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to prepare for system deployment and production cutover.
• Help develop implementation plans and support activities required to move solutions into production.
• Provide post-implementation support and assist with business acceptance activities.
• Analyze business data, processes, and reporting to develop recommendations and support decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, services, and reporting.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for business processes, reporting tools, and data sources.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Manage competing priorities independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of directly related experience, OR equivalent additional professional experience in place of a degree.
• Strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, process analysis, and project support.
• Experience leading business analysis activities on complex projects.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to evaluate complex business challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
• Experience supporting software implementations, testing, defect resolution, or system deployments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA is a plus, but not required .

Additional Details:

• Hybrid schedule is preferred for candidates local to Oklahoma City.
• Fully remote candidates may be considered.
• Standard schedule is 8 hours per day with a flexible start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
• Primarily office-based computer work.
• Occasional non-standard hours may be required depending on project needs.
• Must be comfortable working across multiple business and technical teams.
