Minimum 1+ years school therapist experience required.

Step into a key role providing music therapy services within a school setting, supporting students’ social, emotional, and educational growth for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is located on-site at Bright Futures Academy at Beasley Elementary. As a music therapist, you’ll provide both individual and group therapy sessions focused on fostering student achievement, ensuring all services align with IEP requirements and school expectations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• National Certification in Music Therapy required
• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities and autism
• Knowledge of assessment protocols, adaptive equipment, and strategies in music therapy
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to consult effectively with educators, parents, and administrators
• Familiarity with IEP goal planning, compliance, and progress evaluation
• Must meet fingerprinting and credentialing requirements as mandated by the district

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver music therapy services to eligible students, assessing needs and documenting progress
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings to interpret assessment data and support student-specific goal setting
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents, providing staff development and strategies for effective interventions
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment tailored to student needs and developmental levels
• Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the music therapy program and suggest improvements
• Manage record-keeping and compliance with all required policies, routines, and reporting
• Attend professional development to stay current in the field
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned
