Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, providing essential services to students across a cluster of schools in the Houston area (Southwest side of the city). This full-time role, spanning the 2026-2027 academic year, involves impacting students aged 3 to 21 through direct therapy, evaluations, and consultative support. You’ll collaborate with campus staff and participate in ARDs, playing a pivotal role in student growth and access.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Occupational Therapy (OT) license for Texas
• Strong background in school-based practice; COTAs with extensive school experience are encouraged to apply
• Ability to maintain a caseload of approximately 70 students, with 30-40 receiving direct services on a rotational basis
• Experienced in conducting evaluations and contributing to ARD meetings
• Comfortable with solo responsibilities as no COTAs will be assisting
• Familiarity with SHARES and Onward school health documentation software preferred
• Capable of keeping detailed excel records for IEPs and compliance
• Flexible to travel within an assigned zone (6-7 schools based on home zip code)
• Able to complete required district fingerprinting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services, focusing on treatment and consultative support
• Rotate service schedules as most students receive therapy less frequently than weekly
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to ARD meetings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and special education teams
• Maintain meticulous and timely electronic records using district management systems
• Uphold safety, ethical, and district standards at all times

Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday, full-time schedule with most days running 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You’ll shape the educational experience of students while working autonomously across a manageable network of campuses.
