Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful, full-time opportunity as a School Occupational Therapist, serving students ages 3–21 across a dedicated zone of 6–7 campuses, all conveniently clustered in the southwest Houston area. This contract position starts August 11, 2026, and runs through the end of May 2027, offering the chance to provide meaningful services over an entire academic year. Your expertise will focus on treatment, evaluations, and active participation in ARD meetings, all utilizing SHARES school health software, Onward, and detailed IEP documentation.

Your caseload will be thoughtfully balanced, with about 70 students (30–40 receiving direct services) and a strong emphasis on consultative support. Schedule flexibility exists, typically between 8–4 (occasional 7:30–3:30), allowing for work/life harmony while ensuring your presence onsite makes a difference each day.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Texas
• Full-time availability (35 hours a week required)
• Background in school settings; advanced COTAs with significant experience will be considered
• Ready and able to serve independently—no COTAs to support this caseload
• Familiarity with school-based documentation (IEP processes, data logging)
• Comfortable traveling within an assigned zone
• Willing to complete required district credentialing, including fingerprinting
• Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
• Only candidates who have NOT previously worked in the district will be eligible
