Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students ages 3-21 in a Southwest Houston area school setting. We are seeking two experienced Occupational Therapists for full-time, on-site contract positions during the 2026-2027 academic year (August 11, 2026 – May 26, 2027). You’ll be assigned to a specific zone with 6–7 schools, enabling you to foster relationships while minimizing commute stress.

In this role, your primary focus will be conducting evaluations, providing direct and consultative OT services, and actively participating in ARD meetings. Caseloads are thoughtfully managed to maintain balance – approximately 70 students per OT, with direct treatment services for 30-40 students on a rotating schedule. A lead OT will assume responsibilities, but no support from a COTA is available. All documentation will be managed via SHARES and Onward software, plus Excel tracking for IEPs.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time only (35 hours/week); standard hours 8:00-4:00 or 7:30-3:30
• On-site positions—remote or virtual is not offered
• Serve a diverse age range (3-21 years)
• Assigned to a particular zone to streamline travel between 6–7 schools
• Provide a blend of direct treatment and consult services
• Participate in student evaluations and ARD meetings
• Utilize school health documentation software
• No direct COTA support; leadership and autonomy are essential

Qualifications:

• Active Texas OT license required
• Previous experience in school-based OT; multiple years preferred
• Open to applicants with strong COTA backgrounds and extensive school OT experience
• Must not be a former employee of the district
• Fingerprinting for credentialing is required
