Embark on a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a dedicated Music Therapist at an elementary campus near Richmond, TX for the upcoming academic year (August 11, 2026 – May 26, 2027). In this on-site role, you will provide transformative music therapy services within a supportive school community, working with elementary-age students both individually and in groups. Your contribution will make a direct impact on student achievement and well-being, supporting their IEP goals and fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Current national certification in Music Therapy (required)
• Expertise in music therapy assessment protocols and documentation aligned with IEP compliance
• Knowledge of specialized strategies for students with autism and developmental disabilities
• Experience designing or adapting musical equipment and materials for diverse learners
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to complete fingerprint/background check per district requirements

Responsibilities:

• Deliver music therapy sessions tailored to students’ developmental and individual needs
• Create, implement, and regularly adjust therapy schedules to meet IEP mandates
• Conduct student assessments, participate in ARD/IEP meetings, and help define therapy goals
• Consult with parents, staff, and administrators to enhance program impact and understanding
• Provide staff development and training about music therapy’s role within educational settings
• Manage, compile, and report all required documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines
• Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom atmosphere consistent with campus policies
• Participate in professional development and fulfill all assigned duties and responsibilities
